September 2020 Items for Prayer and Praise

Praise:

• For the creative ways that SU has continued to engage young people during this time
• For the full recovery of Pastor Julius, his wife and the others from the children's home who had Covid-19
• For the timely provision of a car for Pastor Julius
• For the 10 children from Mokone Primary who passed the entrance exam for LEAP School
• For the incredible support our church congregation has been able to provide for families in need
• For the wonderful rains in the Western Cape and the nearly full reservoirs
• For the ability to stay in touch with family, friends and our church community
• For health and provision

​Prayer:

• For God to bring an end to this pandemic
• For Pastor Julius and his wife Lulama as they care for over 30 children
• For many to come to know Christ during this time and for God to be glorified
• For healing for those who are suffering from Covid-19 and for protection for all of those working on the frontlines
• For God to continue leading and guiding us in all that we are involved in and for wisdom in how to go forward in this new season
• For SU and the leaders as they make decisions concerning the organization, fundraising, and how to be innovative and mission-focused during this time. Please pray especially for the roll-out of the trauma project and for funding for the project.
• For all of the school-age children who are having to try to catch up lost ground due to the pandemic, and for strength for all the teachers.
• For the government leaders to have wisdom, compassion and courage as they seek to restore society
• For provision for the children at Mokone Primary and their families, especially those in Grade 7 who need to come up with the finances for attending high school next year. ​
  
• For Common Good and TZN as they seek to work remotely and keep as many staff employed as possible. Funding is also a critical need.
