Reach Africa works with local schools to engage, equip, and energize students to develop and fulfill their leadership potential! It is a critical undertaking as these young students are in the midst of an education crisis where only 30% of students who begin 1st grade actually finish grade 12.
We actively engage students by partnering with Scripture Union South Africa in local schools through lifeskills training, short-term outreach trips, leadership camps, and school Christian groups.
Sinawe (we are with you) School Workers
Life Orientation Class (LO)
Within each Life Orientation class Reach Africa works to:
Engage students relationally

Encourage students to find their identity in Christ and seek to live for Him
Peer to Peer Discipleship
The Bible Engagement program is a once a week after school discipleship journey that enables us to:
Engage with students in small groups for regular discipleship that helps them navigate the challenges they face.
Equip students to become leaders in peer to peer discipleship groups
Encourage students to become effective leaders.
Grade 6 Math Tutoring
Children in many township schools are hopelessly behind in basic math skills. We use creative tools that:
Assists students in filling gaps in learning.
Helps them to gain confidence
Supports them in their educational journey
You don't need mad math skills--just the willingness to make a difference!
South Africa is an amazing country filled with incredible diversity. Our desire is to join with the local church to facilitate a movement of the gospel that engages poverty and inequality in a way that makes Jesus known and worshipped.
